Instructions

Instructions

1. Cut out a panel 8.5cm x 12.5cm from your white card stock. This will form the main feature of the card.
2. Cut out a second panel 8.5cm x 5.5cm. This is for the greeting at the base of the card.
3. Ink around the edges of each panel with the Bamboo Ink and Cut and Dry Foam, swirling lightly at first then add more to the corners, as shown in the photo opposite.

4. Using the Bamboo Ink; lightly stamp over the edges using the Rose Leaf stamp from the ‘English Rose Majestix Stamp set’. Stamp several times before re-inking to achieve a subtle background paper effect as shown opposite.
5. Glide the Bamboo inkpad against the edges of both panels to make it stand out. Now stamp your Greeting on the small panel as shown opposite.
2
36. Create masks for the Bow and the Gift Tag using stamps from the Bouquet set and Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad as follows:

· Stamp out the Bow and the Gift Tag on a scrap piece of paper.
4
· Cut out the bow and the gift tag as shown above. Notice how I have cut most of the black line away. This will make the mask ever so slightly smaller than the stamped image and will allow for the thickness of the paper.
· Apply 2 way Glue to the back of each mask and allow to dry clear, this makes it re-position able. The Quickie Glue Pen is ideal for this.
57. Stamp out the Bow on the large white panel about a third of the way up as shown above.
8. Now position the mask of the Bow directly over your stamped Bow as shown above and opposite.
9. Stamp out your Tag, as shown opposite and place the Tag mask directly over the Tag image as shown below. You can mask overlaying objects as many times as you like, remember that the items you stamp and mask first will appear to be at the front on your finished image and those items that you mask last or don’t mask will appear to be at the back.
6
7
10. Stamp the Stems from the bouquet set, in Green Tea ink, over the masks so that the drawn in part of the stems is around the centre of the bow as shownopposite. Leave the masks in place.
8
11. Next Stamp the image of the bouquet cellophane, aligning it with the stems as shown in figure 9. It looks a little untidy at this point but don’t worry!
9
12. Using the ‘Full Rose’ stamp from the English Rose set, Map out the shape of your bouquet remembering to stamp several times before re-inking and give a slight twist between impressions so the flowers are not all facing the same direction, as shown iOpposite.
10
Then fill in with the side facing Rose as ishown here. I’ve used Versa Color Amethyst and Peony for the Roses.11
1213. Fill in now with the Rose Leaves in Green Tea and the Thorny Sprig in Evergreen, as shown iopposite.
13
14. Peel away the Masks and colour the Bow, I’ve used Pink Carnation Promarker.
15. Add a little Gem or small embellishment to the centre of the bow.
16. Cut 2 panels out of Mirror Card. One of them 9.5cm by 13.5cm and the other 9.5cm by 13.5cm.

17. Take your 12" x 12" cardstock and cut a piece 29.5 cm by 10.5cm. Fold it in half so that we have 2 panels 10.5 cm wide. Now fold the Front Panel in half as shown opposite.
15
18. Cut a panel out from the Pink Cardstock. 9cm by 13cm .
19. Using double-sided tape or Photo-glue, stick the main stamped panel to the pink card and then stick the pink card to the mirror card.
20. Fix the mirror-card to the folded easel card as shown opposite

16
21. Stick the white panel with the greeting stamped on it to the remaining mirror card panel and stick it to the base of the Easel Card as shown on the main photo. Affix a ribbon to help hold the base of the main panel in position.

Project to Make: Sweet Hearts Framed Easel Card

Welcome to our first project, courtesy of Wendy.

Welcome to our first project, courtesy of Wendy.

This delightful card has been made using The Sweet Hearts Majestix Clear Peg Stamp Set, one of our brand new designs from the Majestix Clear Peg Stamp Sets Range.

Instructions

Instructions

1. Take a 6" x 6"square card in a Pink Colour. (We have used one from the Color Core range).

2. Mark the Centre point, by placing a Ruler diagonally from corner to corner and marking a faint line near the centre as shown in figure 1.

3. Fold all of the corners into the centre-point as shown in figure 2.

fig3.
4. Roll the flaps around a pencil to get even rolls and stick into place with a strong double-sided tape as shown in figure 3.

5. You may want to use a sanding block to sand over the top of the frame to get a two toned or distressed look as shown in figure 4. This technique works well with the color core cardstock used because the inner core of the card is a shade of pink rather than white.

.

6. Fill the gap in the centre of the pink card with a piece of mirror card (about 3 ¼ " square)

7. Take a slightly smaller piece of plain white card (about 3" square) and ink around the edges in bamboo ink., (dabbing Cut and dry into the inkpad and then swirling the cut and dry around the edges of your card.).

fig6
fig88. Use the Sweet Hearts Majestix Clear Peg Stamp Set (MASW-02) to decorate the card similar to figure 5 as follows:
a. Take the stamps from the Sweet Hearts set and mount each one to a Majestix Clear Peg Stamp. (we recommend this to get the full benefit of the ease of use of the Peg Stamp Set; The stamps are so easy to use when mounted onto the pegs)
8bb. Stamp the Large Heart in Peony, Rotate your stamp between impressions and
stamp several times before re-inking to add depth of colour. Stamp randomly and use this stamp to form the basic shape of your design, in this case a border around the card.
c. Fill in with the remaining stamps, stamping randomly, twisting the stamp between images and re-inking after making several impressions.
d. Stamp the Scribble Heart in Boysenberry and the Heart sprig in Bamboo.
e. Finally dot around with the heart flower in charcoal or black to give contrast to
your design.
9. Mount the white card onto the Mirror Board.
10. Take a white ribbon and wrap it around your finished frame.
11. Take a small piece of white card and Stamp the large heart in peony.
12. Cut out the heart and attach it to the front of the Ribbon with a glue dot as
shown in figure 7.
13. Using the remainder of the pink 12" x 12", cut a strip to fit the width of the Frame (about 12" x 4"). Fold it in half and fold one side in half again as shown below.
Figure 6
14. Attach the Frame by applying glue to the half panel you see in
the photo above, aligning the base of the frame with the base of the card as shown opposite.
15. Use a border punch to punch a strip to fit your card base. The punch we’ve
used will be added to the Website in the near future.
16. Stamp the large heart out several times in Peony on the punched strip and
stamp a suitable sentiment in the centre, we’ve used ‘With Love’ from our
‘Sentiments 1’ Set
